A killer cast, amazing costumes, and an interesting plot make Bridgerton worth watching
Netflix
We’re willing to guess this change of heart has something to do with “the highly desirable and rebellious” Duke of Hastings (played by Regé-Jean Page), of course. As the official Netflix synopsis states: “Despite proclaiming that they want nothing the other has to offer, their attraction is undeniable and sparks fly as they find themselves engaged in an increasing battle of wits while navigating society’s expectations for their future.”
Alongside Dynevor and Page, you can expect to see the likes of Jonathan Bailey of Broadchurch, Polly Walker of Line of Duty, and Nicola Couglan of Derry Girls, who told the Irish Examiner that “the diversity of the show is one of the biggest strengths.” She explained, “it’s not about creating Regency London as it was exactly; the costumes are technicolour, the casting is so diverse.” With a scandalous storyline, incredible costumes (check out the trailer if you don’t believe us), and a killer cast, Bridgerton seems to have it all. Guess we’ll have to wait until Christmas Day to find out.
