Kathie Lee Gifford has a tight bond with her kids, Cassidy and Cody. They grew even closer after the death of Gifford’s husband, Frank Gifford, in 2015. “They’re both great human beings who realized that their mama needs them now more than they need me,” Gifford told People in 2017.
While both of Gifford’s children are grown and living on their own, they still see each other quite a bit. “They come home a lot, and it means the world to me,” said the television personality. “When your children ultimately become your dear friends, you know you’ve made a switch in the relationship.” Gifford and her son, Cody, have a close relationship, but it’s her daughter, Cassidy, who is following in her footsteps. Like her mom, Cassidy is making a name for herself in the entertainment industry.

Cassidy tied the knot in June 2020, much to the delight of her mom. “So thrilled to announce that my beautiful daughter, @cassidygiff is engaged to a wonderful man, Ben @letsgetwierda,” Gifford wrote on Instagram following their engagement. “I am beyond the moon and stars. Thank you, LORD!”
